Over summer break in July 2023, I mentioned to my daughter, Hayleigh, that we should look at designing some patterns for us. We thought we would design some things for us personally, but the design bug hit and it hit hard. I believe that the Lord gave me the backdrop of a sewing spool to work with that afternoon, and that’s where it started. We quickly realized that our designs might be something that other stitchers would enjoy just as much as the two of us. After two weeks of designing and stitching, we had more designs sketched than I can remember and at least nine models stitched and fully finished. With those nine models stitched, we opened our Etsy shop!
While we understand how convenient PDFs are for some stitchers, they aren’t for everyone. We too like to support our brick and mortars and visit stitchy shops. There is just something about visiting shops, petting the fabric and floss in person, to see what inspiration hits. Offering paper patterns helps meet a need for our stitching friends, supports more of our community and brings more goodies to our stitchy shops. Therefore, we set out to offer paper patterns, EXCLUSIVELY in needlework shops. If you fast forward a little over a month or so, Hoffman’s started distributing our patterns to shops and Crafty Bluebonnet Designs enters shops worldwide.
We just celebrated the one year mark and we have over 60 patterns currently available. Don’t worry the fun won't stop there as we have more coming your way!
